Food Safety Desk Audit

The purpose of this audit is for B-TRACE Australia to conduct an assessment of a B-TRACE member for hygiene and production standards in aspects of the handling procedures of honey bee products production carried out in the facility and to ensure that all relevant B-TRACE standards and actions are carried out and documented. These records will be available solely for desk audits and if applicable a site audit may be conducted by an authorised Food auditor engaged by B-TRACE Australia. Records will be kept for a period of 5 years under secure storage as per B-TRACE Australia guidelines.

Audit Instructions.

Complete the Internal Food Safety Audit annually as advised.
If necessary, complete an audit for each product area within the organisation.
The audit may consist of two types of review:-

A desktop Audit i.e. a review of the documentation and records used as part of the members Food Safety Program;
An on-site audit a random audit may be conducted if deemed applicable by the auditor. This will only occur at the Auditors request and to verify desk audit results.

All audits will be charged at the audit rate as set by B-TRACE and audit costs will be included in the yearly B-TRACE subscription. Only in the instance of a failed audit will a member have to pay an additional audit fee of $50.00.

Record “NA” for questions which are not relevant to your organisation.
On completion of the audit any non-conformances shall be dealt with within 30 days , with the completion date entered into the audit document. The corrective action will be completed and resubmitted for a new audit at the members cost, this being equal to a new audit fee.
The member and Audit company will both retain and file all audits.
